The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd
Dear Lord, you promise to give
rest to all who are weary, you
promise to feed all who are
hungry, you promise to
welcome all who seek you: be
present, O Christ, with us as
we seek a deeper relationship
with you and guide us in our
journey that we may
experience your love in all that
we do in your name. Amen.

“The Episcopal Church is a member of the worldwide Anglican Communion, with 70 million members in 163 countries. We are a
community of Christians bound together by our belief that Holy Scripture contains the very core of all Christian faith. Through the
many ancient, as well as modern, stories that connect us to Jesus and his Teachings, we discover daily God’s hope and call to us
in our life together.

All are welcome to participate in our worship because it is in worship that we live out our life as a Christian family together.
Scripture is the foundation of our worship. The service follows an order found in our worship book called the Book of Common
Prayer. Every worship service includes the reading of Holy Scripture from the Old and New Testaments.

In our worship service, we celebrate God with us through water, bread, and wine. Our Lord Jesus Christ tells us through water we
are united with God. We call this Baptism. The Episcopal Church believes through baptism in any Christian denomination we
become brothers and sisters in God’s family. (If you are not baptized and wish to be, please contact our clergy to discuss further.)
Jesus shared bread and wine with his first followers and is with us today in this family meal we call Holy Communion. Through it
we receive the forgiveness of our sins and a strengthening of our union with God and one another as we remember Christ’s life,
death and Resurrection. Any baptized person is welcome and encouraged to share in this meal.

As you continue your journey, please remember us as a place of rest, restoration, and reunion. If you are searching for a place to
worship regularly, we welcome you.” *

Sunday, 8am Holy Eucharist - This is a more contemplative service. There is no choir and silence is encouraged. The
worship service which includes sharing both bread and wine, follows a more traditional format. All are welcome. Generally, the
service ends at 9am.

9:45am Sunday School and Nursery -  Sunday School and Nursery begin at 9:45 in the classrooms in our office building.
All children ages 3 through 5th grade are welcome to participate in Sunday School or join in our service. Lessons are generally
completed week to week which allows visiting children the opportunity to participate more freely. Sunday School children rejoin
their families before our announcement time. The nursery is available for our smallest ones through age 3. We also have a cry
room available in the sanctuary.

The Youth Group often worships together at the 10am service. Many serve the worship service as Acolyte’s. Visit the youth page for
